
DCFS Victim Services Unit
The Division of Child and Family Services Nevada Victim Services Unit was created to assist victims throughout the state access needed assistance. The Victim Services Unit covers the Nevada Victims of Crime Compensation, the Grants Management Unit for Victim Services funding, and the Confidential Address Program.
Nevada also receives federal grant funding to assist with the Victims Assistance Academy of Nevada (VAAN) and the Victims Liaison Grant to facilitate and provide for victims needs in rural and tribal communities. Through the Victim Services Unit, the goal is to identify gaps in services to support victims when they need it most. The Unit works closely with community partners across the state to assist in providing resources and coverage.
