The BTS application is a CDHS system created for internal use by the Background Investigation Unit (BIU) within this department and is still used today to track and store background checks. CDHS employee applicants are processed with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by Name check and Fingerprint check. The database is used to record the results of the background checks, including the dates the investigations were processed.
